The Story Behind Massey Accounting Company
From the “class of 1997,” I jumped straight into work as a trainee bookkeeper in a Glossop factory (not a cotton mill — I’m not that old!). Fortunately (in hindsight), that job didn't last more than 12-months. This pushed me to knock on office doors until I secured an apprenticeship with Lomas & Co, a local accountancy practice.
Those were great times. Training alongside others my age in a small firm meant I got hands-on experience across the full range of accountancy work. That foundation has shaped my career since.

1999 — Qualified as an Accounting Technician (AAT)

2003 — Qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant status (ACCA)

2008 — Admitted as a Fellow of the ACCA (FCCA)

2013 — Took the leap and founded Massey Accounting Company
